A new restaurant opening. Frantic customer placed order on a Wednesday night for Saturday opening. Most of the lines were special items, so had to be ordered from suppliers. On Friday morning a van was sent to Manchester to pick up glasses from our supplier, to bring them to us in London. At 6pm our MD packed the van with all of the customers order, and drove the order to the farthest corner of Kent, arriving at 9pm.
This was in our busiest month of December. Our MD was so shattered he could not safely drive back and had to pull off the motorway to sleep.

LBK are proud to announce, the sponsorship deal was signed with Tom Dyer and Jay Du Toit today, where LBK provides services and equipment to the already established bar training school.EBS have an awesome setup in East London, set in a totally cool Victorian industrial building, it is full of character. Tom and Jay have done a fantastic job, working with designers and builders, converting the huge basement area into a professional, yet laid-back bar training school, enrolling students from all over the world. On our last visit, we watched a group of 25 students on their first day of training, where the course outline given, included every aspect of professional bartending, from back-baring, equipment and logistics, right through to customer service, flair and of course the fine art of making the perfect drink. This particular course was set over 4 weeks and was an intensive. Over half of the students were from overseas and the course includes accommodation at a near by hostel. The London EBS venue 4000 square foot in size, is in the heart of London. Close to the famous Tower Bridge, it is a short 5 minute walk from Bermondsey tube station. There are shops and restaurants close by and an on-site café. The venue itself changes from month to month as Tom and Jay are constantly adding to it. Currently they have 10 bar stations and a padded flair room to practice moves. Students can also relax with some video games and TV. They can also read up on cocktails and the bar industry, with some of the best bar magazines and books collected over the years. In true London style the unit is a basement unit but this is all part of the London experience. The teachers and helpers make sure the vibe during class hours is lively and that students work for that all important certificate at the end of the course. www.barschool.net |

LBK are proud to announce, the sponsorship deal was signed with Watford based club, Casiobury United FC today. LBK will be sponsoring them on a long term basis, providing equipment, kit and financial support. CUFC are an ambitious young team, with aspirations to win the league.
